About Me

Greetings!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

My name is Theodore McCormick and I am a Game Designer currently working for Nerve Software.

I have been playing video games for over 25 years, being given my first console by my grandfather in my early days. I found as I grew older, that my games grew with me, advancing in graphical fidelity and overt complexity, into the vibrant and rich industry we know today!

My lifelong passion for video games eventually led me to the SMU Guildhall as a Level Design student. There I learned how to work well within interdisciplinary teams, and better design and iterate content for a wide variety of play-styles, and genres, eventually going on to win the Cohort 27 Level Design Honors Award!

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you are interested in hearing more about my experience as a Designer!

Fun Facts:

What was your first gaming system?

  • The Sega Genesis, given to me by my grandfather at the age of 4!

What game or series made you really want to get into game development?

  • World of Warcraft without a doubt. As an explorer by nature, World of Warcraft was the first game I ever played that allowed me to learn about and discover an entire world, with its own rich environment and characters!

Do you have any hobbies?

  • Absolutely! Aside from playing games, I love to play, write, and run tabletop games such as a Dungeons and Dragons. I'm an avid reader, from Biographies to Graphic Novels, and I'm a cartoonist in my spare time!
